The Living Alone Diaries
After 1 year of staying at my Uncle's house, I thought of moving to the nearest place to my office so that I would not be wasting my time changing metro or crossing all the traffic leading me to frustration. After searching 1-2 PGs, the first one was PG but the second was a fully rented house, I chose the second option, but after a few days I came to know it was a bad choice. I didn't change the rent as I was all alone and couldn't search for a new house or a new PG due to office hours. All 6 days from morning to evening needed to do office work as It was work from office job role and I used to get only 1 Sunday which I used to sleep at my Uncle's home. Not much but yeah 1 day holiday is never enough. So, yeah thought of living alone and CAN DO IT moto I carried on.
The society was not that good enough to stay like the way I used to live in Bhubaneswar. But Yeah as I was living near the office and not facing huge traffic that motivated me to stay there. It was the first day in that house, after coming from the office I felt the silence, Yes people were passing through the road, gossiping and having their relaxing time, I could hear them as I was staying on the second floor of that apartment. But I never stayed alone in a house and never eaten alone. That night I cried and slept after having my dinner. I think the beginning of a professional life is a real struggle as also choosing to stay away from family.
It was March month so Summer started there in Delhi NCR and it started with a 35-40 degree temperature. Society used to have an issue that was electricity issue and when it was summer, The electricity would go off for the whole day. Yes, You heard it right the whole day, and there the people didn't even complain about the electricity supply. Yes, the Delhi NCR people would feel this pain. As I was earning less and did not have much savings, I didn't rent an inverter and would rather handle the situation for a few days. This electricity issue was not a regular issue but once started, resolving the issue would take around 2 days. With this temperature and without electricity, the 2 days felt like hell. Society used to be a congested area so no wind as well at least to my flat. And if 2 days of electricity is off then no water as well. I somehow felt like living in a very underrated area of Noida.
To manage to do things all by myself, I followed a routine.
Stay Connected to know the routine, how I cope with the extreme heat, and manage my busy office work as well.
